3/6/2010 - Mullen Declares USS Dewey a 'True Gem'  SEAL BEACH, Calif., March 6, 2010 – The Navy commissioned the newest guided-missile destroyer, the USS Dewey, to its fleet today at a ceremony steeped in naval symbolism and tradition.

10/29/2009 - Navy to Commission Guided Missile Destroyer Dewey at Seal Beach  SEAL BEACH, Calif. (NNS) -- Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus has approved Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, Calif., as the commissioning location of Pre-commissioning Unit (PCU) Dewey, the Navy's newest and most technologically advanced guided-missile destroyer.

8/24/2009 - Navy Accepts Delivery of Future USS Dewey WASHINGTON -- The Navy officially accepted delivery of the future USS Dewey (DDG 105) Aug. 17 from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding (NGSB) during a ceremony in Pascagoula, Miss.
7/29/2009 - Navy Christens New Guided Missile Destroyer Jason Dunham The Navy will christen the newest Arleigh Burke class guided-missile destroyer, Jason Dunham, Aug. 1, 2009, during a 10 a.m. EDT ceremony at Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine.
7/13/2009 - Navy Accepts Delivery of Future USS Wayne E. Meyer The Navy officially accepted delivery of the guided-missile destroyer Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) from General Dynamics-Bath Iron Works (BIW) during a ceremony in Bath, Maine. Wayne E. Meyer is the 56th of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and carries the 100th Aegis Combat System.
5/14/2009 - Navy Christens Newest Arleigh Burke Class Ship Gravely The Navy will christen the newest Arleigh Burke class guided-missile destroyer, Gravely, on May 16, during a 10 a.m. CDT ceremony at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Miss.

4/22/2009 - Navy To Commission Guided-Missile Destroyer Truxtun The Navy’s newest Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, Truxtun, will be commissioned Saturday, April 25, 2009, during an 11 a.m. EDT ceremony at Charleston, S.C.
10/27/2008 - Navy Accepts Delivery of Truxtun The Navy accepted delivery of the guided-missile destroyer Truxtun (DDG 103) from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding during a ceremony in Pascagoula, Miss. on Oct. 24.

10/10/2008 - Peleliu, Halsey Strengthen Century-Long Partnership in Sydney  SYDNEY, Australia (NNS) -- The amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) and the guided missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97) arrived in Sydney, Australia
9/11/2008 - Mahan Deploys from Norfolk  NORFOLK (NNS) -- The guided-missile destroyer USS Mahan (DDG 72) deployed Sept. 9, as part of a scheduled deployment to conduct Maritime Security Operations.
